NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two roommates were charged yesterday in court in connection with a large marijuana and medicinal drugs recovery.
Jermaine Adderley, 25, and 26-year-old Adam Johnson, both of Dorchester Street off Virginia Street, stood before Deputy Chief Magistrate, Subusola Swain, on several drug-related charges.
Adderley was represented by attorney Keith Seymour, while Johnson was represented by attorney Ryszard Humes.
The duo was charged with four counts of possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to supply and three counts of unlawful storage of medicinal drugs with the intent to unlawfully sell, totaling at seven counts each.
Adderley alone was also charged with possession of dangerous drugs, namely Indian Hemp.
According to police reports, last Tuesday, officers discovered in the defendants’ home:
- 1 pound of marijuana worth $1,000
- 2,425 Ecstasy pills valued at $110, 000
- 10 Methamphetamine pills
- 13 Oxycodone pills
- 5,448 Alprazolam pills
- 1,090 Xanax pills
Both men pleaded not guilty to all charges and were denied bail. They have been remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until August 15thfor trial.
