Vandalized ABM prompts response from Scotiabank

NICHOLL’S TOWN, ANDROS — Scotiabank is condemning the recent incident of vandalism that has affected the operation of its Automated Banking Machine (ABM) located in Nicholl’s Town, Andros.

“As a result, the machine has been left inoperable and will be unavailable for use by members of the public for an extended period of time. We are presently assessing the extensive damage done with all relevant stakeholders to determine the timeframe for service restoration,” a statement from Scotiabank read.

“We are also cooperating with the authorities on an investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.”

The company reminded its clients that several banking services, including cash transfers, bill payments, and balance inquiries, are available 24 hours per day via its digital channels – Scotia Online and Scotia Mobile app.
