$68K suspected marijuana bust in Grand Bahama

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in Grand Bahama seized a large quantity of suspected marijuana on Friday 12th July, 2024, around 7:30 p.m. off Explorer Way.

According to reports, Drug Enforcement Unit officers were on mobile patrol when they observed a Japanese vehicle leaving a bushy area that leads to a service road.

After checking that area, they discovered a large quantity of suspected marijuana, police said.

No arrests were made in connection with this
incident, authorities confirmed.

The drugs weighed an estimated 68 ½ pounds with an estimated street value of $68,500.00, according to investigators.

Investigations are ongoing.
