21-year-old American tourist killed in UTV crash

NASSAU, BAHAMAS- Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Sunday, October 20, 2024, around 11:00 am. at Arawak Cay Drive, which claimed the life of a 21-year-old American tourist.

According to reports, the driver of a black and green Polaris Utility Task Vehicle (UTV), accompanied by a male passenger, was making a maneuver near the Container Port when the UTV tilted, ejecting the passenger, who became unresponsive.

Emergency medical services arrived and examined the victim, but he showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Traffic Division continues to investigate the incident.
