Yntegra Group submits formal proposal to Black Point Community Development & Regatta Association to Advance community center construction

NASSAU, BAHAMAS— Yntegra Group has submitted a formal proposal to the Black Point Community Development & Regatta Association to help build and complete the Black Point Community Center, a long-standing priority for the community that will serve as both a central gathering space and a critical shelter during hurricanes and emergencies. The proposal follows years of ongoing engagement between the company and the Black Point community.

“For us, this has never been a question of if, but when,” said Felipe MacLean, CEO of Yntegra Group. “We have spent years coming to Black Point, listening, learning, and understanding what this community truly needs. A safe place, especially during hurricanes, has always been clear. Now we are at a point where we can take the next steps and move forward.”

The Community Center is intended to be a community-owned facility designed to serve the people of Black Point for generations to come. Yntegra Group will neither own nor operate the building. Instead, the initiative is being advanced as a partnership with the community, with a strong emphasis on local participation and long-term benefit.

Under the proposal, Yntegra Group would work closely with the Black Point Community Development & Regatta Association to ensure the project remains transparent, community-driven, and properly structured. The Association’s Board will review the proposal, and if approved, will work alongside local government stakeholders to guide the next steps, including the establishment of an appropriate community-based structure to oversee the facility’s long-term management.

As outlined in the proposal, Yntegra Group has committed to supporting the construction of the Black Point Community Center by providing construction machinery and equipment to facilitate efficient progress. The company also plans to create local employment opportunities by hiring residents of Black Point and ensuring the facility is designed and built to function as a safe, resilient hurricane shelter. Throughout the process, Yntegra Group has emphasized its intention to work in close collaboration with the community at every stage.

If approved, local hiring is expected to begin immediately, with a dedicated hiring manager coordinating employment opportunities for interested residents of Black Point.

The announcement also acknowledges delays to broader development activity in the area resulting from legal actions involving neighboring properties Turtlegrass and Over Yonder. Yntegra Group emphasized that it does not intend to allow those delays to continue affecting the Black Point community.

“When projects are delayed, it’s not paperwork that suffers, it’s people and families,” MacLean said. “We are committed to Black Point for the long term, and this is one meaningful step we can take now.”

The Community Center initiative builds on years of smaller, practical support provided to Black Point and represents a larger, long-term investment in community infrastructure, safety, and opportunity.
