World Trafficking Day observed

Officials from the local committee for World Day against Human Trafficking took to the streets Monday, in an effort to educate citizens about the signs and impact of human trafficking.

The Bahamas remains in the top tier for trafficking, as the country has taken the necessary steps to reduce and deter human traffickers.

Athena Bowles explained to media how victims are processed and identified yesterday.

Bowles is attached to the Royal Bahamas Police Force’s (RBPF) Trafficking in Persons task force.
