Water & Sewerage opens at Mall at Marathon

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Water & Sewerage Corporation (WSC) opened a new customer service location on Wednesday at the Mall at Marathon.

Five employees are responsible for running the new office, which is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.

The Mall location offers similar services as the WSC headquarters on University Drive, including bill queries, payments, new water and sewer connections, financial arrangements, rebates, change of ownership, tenant agreements, reconnection of supplies, sewer inspection, leaks and rusty water.

WSC previously operated a customer service department at the Mall at Marathon, which was shared with Bahamas Power and Light.

Yesterday, WSC Chairman Adrian Gibson said he appreciates the convenience of being at the mall, and he believes that Bahamians would also welcome the idea of going to the mall to shop and to pay bills. He, therefore, stated that the mall was the best to place to open a sub-office.

“We’re also going to open a new office in the southwest,” Gibson said.

“I’m sure you can appreciate the shifts in population in that area. The idea is to have a location on University Drive [where our headquarters is located], one at the mall that also caters to the east and everyone else coming into the mall, and another at the Southwest Plaza or somewhere in that region.”
