NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The Acting Parliamentary Commissioner has dismissed circulating rumors that names are being removed from the Register of Voters to disenfranchise citizens. According to the Commissioner, these claims are entirely unfounded.
The Parliamentary Registration Department has assured the public that any adjustments to the voter register are conducted transparently and in full compliance with the Parliamentary Elections Act. Names are only removed in specific circumstances, such as duplicate registrations or when a voter is confirmed deceased.
