Investigators are today on the hunt for the man responsible for the country’s latest homicide, following an altercation turned deadly in Culmersville early Saturday morning.
The shooting put the murder count at 52 for 2018.
Initial police reports indicate the incident unfolded shortly before 2:00 a.m., when a group of men was standing on Royal Palm Street.
One of the men, according to police, got into an altercation with another man in the group.
Police said that same man left the area and returned armed with a gun and shot the other man before he fled the scene.
Paramedics were called to the scene where they pronounced the man dead, police said.
Investigations are said to be ongoing.
