He later showcased his athletic versatility as a member of the U.S. Bobsled Team in the 1992 Winter Olympics and a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter.

After retiring from football, Walker founded Renaissance Man Food Services, expanding his work into entrepreneurship and the food service industry.

Ambassador Walker has long served as a public advocate for mental health in the United States Armed Forces. In 2018, he was appointed to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, where he served until 2022, and was inducted into the Horatio Alger Association that same year. He was also the Republican nominee in Georgia’s 2022 U.S. Senate election.

Ambassador Walker is married to Julie Walker and continues his work in business and civic engagement. Through his role with the U.S. Mission to The Bahamas, he is committed to strengthening people-to-people connections and supporting shared U.S.–Bahamas priorities.
