Two women arrested for alleged possession of unlicensed firearms

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in New Providence recovered two unlicensed firearms on Saturday, February 23 and two female suspects were taken into custody.

According to police reports, shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, officers from the Eastern Division executed a search warrant at a residence located on Armbrister Street, Fox Hill, and discovered a Mosberg pump action Shot Gun, along with a Remington 597 Riffle with 89 shotgun shells and 66 .22 Remington rounds.

Two females were arrested and taken into custody and police said they are actively investigating this matter.
