Two in custody over killing of RBDF officer

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Police are questioning two men aged, 20 and 27, from eastern New Providence in connection with the shooting death of the Royal Bahamas Defense Force Officer last week.

Alvarez McCoy of Fox Hill was found sitting in his burgundy Nissan Cube with multiple gunshot injuries shortly before 2am on January 18. He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle but later succumbed to his injuries.

According to reports, McCoy was found by his neighbors who heard the gunshots.

Police arrested the suspects shortly after 11am on Friday, January 20.

Investigations into the matter are reportedly ongoing.
