Two Dominicans charged with possession, use of forged documents

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Julio Meija, 37, and Yeison Reyes, 21, were brought before Magistrate Kara Turnquest on Wednesday, on one count of unlawful use of a forged document and one count of possession of a forged document.

The two men pleaded guilty to both charges and were ordered to pay a $1,000 fine or spend one year at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.

Meija and Reyes are alleged to have arrived in The Bahamas last week from Turks and Caicos with fake Bahamian visas and work permits.
