TRAPSY: FNM Senator Michaela Barnett-Ellis critizes the government’s approach to amending the Bail Act

 

NASSAU, BAHAMAS- Free National Movement (FNM) Senator Michaela Barnett-Ellis during a debate in the upper chamber on amendments to the Bail Act said the government’s approach was “trapsy, and a Backdoor” way to proceed with the legislation.
According to the Senator, only the courts have the right to revoke bail and despite any actions of an individual they are innocent until proven guilty.
