Traffic mishaps claim three lives

Traffic accident investigators are probing two separate accidents which have left one man and two women dead over the weekend.

Investigators report that that shortly after 10:00 p.m. on March 23, a white Toyota Passo – with four male occupants – was traveling south on Fox Hill Road, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided into a utility pole and a tree.

Reports note that the driver and two of the male occupants were injured.

Police said paramedics were called to the scene, but were unable to revive one of the men who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The driver and another male were taken to hospital and are listed in serious condition.

The second traffic mishap occurred in Abaco around 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

Police said they were called to a traffic accident on S.C Bootle Highway.

Once at the scene, traffic police said they found a grey Honda Fit vehicle with three female passengers inside.

According to police, the vehicle collided with a pine tree.

Reports say the driver of the vehicle succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Police said EMS personnel transported two of the female passengers to the Marsh Harbor Clinic however, one of the two females succumbed to her injuries Sunday afternoon.

The second female passenger, who is listed in serious condition, continues to fight for her life.
