Traffic fatality on San Salvador claims the life of a female

Police on the island of San Salvador are investigating a traffic crash that occurred on Sunday, May 26, 2019, which left an adult female dead.

According to police reports, shortly after 12:00noon on Sunday, a traffic crash occurred on Queen’s Highway near the community of Sandy Point, involving a champagne-coloured 2011 Hyundai Jeep and a black 2010 Nissan Note.

The drivers and passengers of both vehicles received injuries and were transported to the community clinic, where a female was pronounced dead.

The other injured persons were listed in serious condition and were flown to New Providence for further medical attention.

Officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force Traffic Department in New Providence are expected to travel to San Salvador today, to continue their investigations into this incident.
