NASSAU, BAHAMAS — A three-car collision on Cowpen Road East off Faith Avenue resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries this evening. The incident occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m.
According to police reports, a black Nissan Note was traveling east on Cowpen Road when it veered into the opposite lane, colliding with a white Mercedes sedan. The Mercedes was occupied by a lone female who sustained no injuries from the crash.
Following this initial collision, the Nissan Note then struck a white truck carrying three passengers. The male driver of the truck sustained multiple injuries and was transported to Princess Margaret Hospital by EMS for treatment.
Tragically, the male driver of the Nissan Note succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He is thought to be in his late 40s to early 50s, and is fair-skinned. Police officials indicated to the media that they believed him to be a resident of Long Island.
