NASSAU, BAHAMAS-Tourism Minister Chester Cooper says claims made by an American transgendered woman that she is the victim of an alleged hate crime, which reportedly occurred at a night club in western New Providence, will have minimal impact on The Bahamas’ tourism product.
The tourism minister says The Bahamas is a peaceful nation and its booming tourism industry, which experienced record-breaking numbers this year, is a testament that the country welcomes a diverse demographic.
