Tourism DG addresses frequency of shark encounters by tourists

NASSAU, BAHAMAS —Tourism Director General Latia Duncombe addresses recent shark attacks in New Providence and Grand Bahama while offering sympathy to families affected by these incidents.

A Boston woman was fatally attacked on December 4, 2023, in waters near a local resort in New Providence.

Police have officially identified her as 44-year-old Lauren Erickson Van Wart.
