Teen charged with murder

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A teenager appeared in the Supreme Court on Tuesday, charged with murder.

Javano Hall, 19, represented by Attorney Ian Cargill, appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyanne Ferguson-Pratt for the shooting death of Shaquille Rolle, which occurred on May 30th at Shady Tree Street in Culmersville.

Hall was not required to enter a plea and was denied bail. He has been remanded to The Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until August 7thfor a Voluntary Bill of Indictment.

According to police reports, shortly after 10:00p.m. on May 30, Rolle was standing in front of a residence on Shady Tree Street in Culmersville, when a silver vehicle pulled up to him. The occupants opened fire in his direction, injuring him before speeding away.

Paramedics transported the victim to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
