Tank scores TKO in Colombia

Heavyweight Sherman “The Tank” Williams (40-15-2) scored a second-round knockout over Samuel Miller (33-19) in Colombia over the weekend.

Williams tagged Miller with his signature overhand right hook in the opening seconds of round two, sending him to the canvas. He was unable to recover.

“I really think this was an exciting fight for the crowd, and I’m glad I was able to come out with a win,” Williams said.

“People still love to come out and watch heavyweights go head-to-head.

“We didn’t have the time to come here and really promote this fight the way we wanted to, but I’m definitely open to coming back down here and do some more training.”

Miller, 39, was selected to replace Williams’ original opponent who withdrew earlier this month.

The fight against Miller was Williams’ first fight since May 26, 2018, where he won a technical knockout over Epifanio Mendoza at the A Social Affair and Convention Center in his hometown of Grand Bahama.
