Suspected marijuana recovered from cargo flight at LPIA

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in New Providence recovered a large quantity of dangerous drugs at the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) on Sunday.

According to police reports, shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Airport Division Officers, acting on information, conducted a search of a cargo flight that arrived from Jamaica and recovered 19 packages of suspected marijuana, weighing 100lbs.

No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.
