EXUMA, BAHAMAS – Police, with the assistance of the public, recovered a quantity of suspected marijuana on the island of Exuma on Saturday, Feb. 23.
According to police reports, shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit, assisted by officers of the Marine Support Unit and Exuma Division, acting on information, conducted a search of bushes in Bahama Sound 14 and uncovered four, five-gallon buckets and a sack containing suspected marijuana.
Police said the marijuana weighed 34 lbs with a suspected street value of $35,000.
No arrest was made in this incident and investigations are ongoing.
