NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The Supreme Court will now benefit from increased security after installing new CCTV cameras.
Coincidentally, the Minister of National Security Wayne Munroe confirmed these upgrades one day after a man was shot in the parking lot of the Magistrate’s Court.
Shortly after that incident, the Bahamas Bar Association called for improved security at the courts.
However, Munroe indicated that the additional security measures have been in the works for some time. He revealed that as of July 1st, the Supreme Court will operate with greater autonomy and a dedicated security director for better vigilance and protection.
