Summer camp teaches kids how to sew

play-sharp-fill

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Seventeen children ages 12-17, from the St. Barnabas constituency, learnt how to sew during a four-week summer programme hosted by Minister of Economic Affairs Senator Michael Halkitis.

Minister Halkitis emphasized that he wanted children in the community to be occupied with learning new skills during the summer months and also wanted the experience to provide them with a possible career choice in the future through the skills they acquired.

Boys and girls were taught how to sew, many of them constructed their own school uniforms ahead of the new academic year, summer camp officials shared.
