Seymour back in Double-A

Anfernee Seymour is making his way back up the minor league ranks as Over the weekend, Seymour was re-promoted to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp of the Double-A Southern League from the Jupiter Hammerheads of the Single-A Advanced Florida State League.

He was previously assigned to the Jumbo Shrimp on June 2, but his struggles at the plate hindered his progression. As a result, he was sent back down to the Hammerheads.

Through 51 games with the Hammerheads, Seymour hit .284 with an .760 OPS and .433 slugging percentage. He totaled 57 hits, 11 doubles, five ripples, three home runs, with 24 RBI, 27 runs scored and 16 stolen bases.

Seymour joins recently promoted Lucius Fox and Champ Stuart as the trio of Bahamians currently playing at the Double-A level.
