Retired boxer denied bail, accused of attempting to have sex with teenage workers

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — A retired boxer, James Coakley, a.k.a “Killer Coakley,” was charged with attempting to have sex with three teenage girls who worked at his bar.

Coakley stood before Magistrate Kendra Kelly, facing three counts of procuration.

Prosecutors allege between January 1 and February 7, he allegedly procured the girls, ages 15 and 16, in an attempt to have unlawful sexual intercourse with them.

Coakley didn’t have to enter pleas to the charges and bail was denied. He’s been remanded to The Bahamas Department of Corrections, and the matter has been adjourned to May 17.
