ANDROS, BAHAMAS — A reported fire at the Bahamas Power and Light (BPL) power station in Central Andros has led to power disruption on the island.
According to BPL Director of Communications Theodore Sealy, power outages were reported after 6:00 on Sunday morning.
“Our 1.1 Megawatt trailer caught on fire. As a result, all consumers between Love Hill and Behring Point have been affected.”
An update was promised for consumers as soon as possible. No injuries have been reported.
