Raptors win 2019 GSSSA junior track and field title

The CH Reeves Raptors emerged as the champions of the Government Secondary Schools Sporting Association (GSSSA) junior track and field championships yesterday at the Thomas A Robinson National Stadium.
The Raptors built on an opening day lead and finished the meet with 508 points.
A.F. Adderley was second with 440.5 points, followed by H.O. Nash with 309, S.C. McPherson had 258 and D.W. Davis rounded out the top five with 206.50.
L.W. Young came sixth with 183 and T.A Thompson and Anatol Rodgers were seventh and eighth with 119 and 99 points respectively.

On the senior side the championships, the C. R. Walker Knights hold a sizable lead with 315 points. C.I. Gibson is second with 288 points, followed by C.V. Bethel, R.M. Bailey, Doris Johnson, C.C. Sweeting, Government High and Anatol Rodgers.
 The senior segment wraps up today at the stadium.
