NASSAU, BAHAMAS — In enforcing the Commander Defence Force Commodore Raymond King’s strategic objective of strengthening relationships with stakeholders and the community at large as a socially corporate citizen, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s Veterans Association teamed up with management and staff of Quality Home Center (QHC) on December 15, 2020, to donate Christmas gifts to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF).
The gifts will be distributed to the children of RBDF veterans during this festive season as part of ongoing efforts by the organization and the RBDF Veteran Association in fostering meaningful relationships with the community.
QHC Store Manager Francino Mullings, who presented the donations, said she was happy to be part of the special occasion.
“It was a great pleasure to give to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force,” she said. “They help with the safety and security throughout the entire country, and for this, it is the least we can do to show our appreciation for their services.”
Commodore King added: “It is a joy to bring a smile to a young child during this holiday season, and the officers and marines along with members of the welfare section and the Veterans Association. While we provide border protection and security as it relates to transnational threats to our country, we are still about ensuring the welfare of our neighbors.”
