Minister of Tourism and Aviation, Dionisio D'Aguilar.

The government is in the process of privatizing the Prince George Dock in an effort to improve the site’s cruise port, according to Tourism Minister Dionisio D’Aguilar Tuesday.

D’Aguilar confirmed that the government is in the infancy stages of negotiations and said that two groups have expressed interest in operating the dock.

On Sunday the government came under fire from the opposition over the proposed management arrangement in the works for Prince George Dock.

According to reports, a management arrangement for the capital’s busiest port has gone before Cabinet for approval.

However, whether or not the arrangement went through the proper process for the selection of the entity to be approved for the controlling post, was the matter at hand.
