FREEPORT, GRAND BAHAMA — Jimmy’s Wines & Spirits, the retail arm of the Bahamian Brewery & Beverage Company (BBB), is now home to Corona beer, the popular Mexican brew.
The chain of liquor stores has added the popular international beer brand Corona to its growing inventory of products. Often served with a wedge of lime, Corona beer is widely known for its light, refreshing taste and is the perfect summer cooler companion. Globally distributed by Anheuser-Busch (AB InBev), Corona is the number one imported beer brand across the United States and is now distributed locally by the Bahamian Brewery & Beverage Company.
The Corona acquisition is the latest addition to the long-standing partnership between BBB and the AB InBev brand, which currently includes Budweiser & Bud Light.
AB InBev Sales and Marketing Manager Elena Gonzalez said: “AB InBev looks for distribution partners that share the goals and the vision we have for our brands. It is important to have a partner that can bring expertise, enthusiasm and commitment to our brands. With Jimmy’s, we can take our brands to level where we want them to be.”
As of May 2021, customers entering any Jimmy’s location across the country will now also have access to the popular Mexican brew in both the traditional 12-ounce bottle as well as the “Coronita” mini seven-ounce bottles.
Trade Marketing Supervisor Joel Smith said: “We’ve had a wonderful partnership with the Anheuser-Busch company for more than seven years now and the Corona brand completes our ABInBev portfolio for the Bahamian market.
“As a company, we are excited to have one of the top 10 selling beers in the world to market and distribute here in The Bahamas. The customers will benefit not only from having another great beer available locally but also having access to the upcoming promotions associated with the brand.”
