NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police have recovered two illegal firearms from the streets of New Providence in two separate incidents.
In the first incident, according to police reports, shortly after 6:00p.mon Monday, June 3, 2019, Central Detective Unit Officers, acting on information, conducted a search of an area at the Blue Hills Playing Field and recovered a .40 pistol and one round of ammunition.
In the second incident, according to police reports, shortly before 1:00a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, Central Detective Unit Officers, acting on information, conducted a search of a bushy area on Armbrister Street, Fox Hill and recovered a 9 millimeter pistol and three rounds of ammunition.
No arrest was made in these incidents and investigations are ongoing.
