Police recover drugs and ammo; two in custody

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police recovered a quantity of drugs and ammunition on Thursday, May 30, 2019.

According to police reports, shortly before 4:00p.m. Thursday, Mobile Division Officers, acting on information, went to Wilson Track where they noticed two men at the rear of a house. As Officers approached the men, they began acting in a suspicious manner and one of them threw four pieces of foil paper to the ground.

Officers recovered the wrappers and discovered that they contained suspected marijuana.

Officers then conducted a search of the area where the men were standing and recovered a .22 pistol, 10 rounds of ammunition and two plastic wrappings with suspected marijuana.

The men were taken into custody and are expected to be formally charged in connection with this incident.
