Investigations continue following a police-involved shooting which occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
According to reports, police responded to Wilkerson Street after receiving reports that a man was at a home armed with a firearm and making threats toward residents. A few minutes later, police received information that the armed man was chasing a woman on Rupert Dean Lane.
As officers approached the man he fired the weapon in their direction, putting them in fear for their lives.
Officers discharged their service weapons at the man, injuring him. The injured man was transported to hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition.
No one else was injured in this incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
