Police investigating four armed robberies – all occurring on the same day

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police on the Island of New Providence are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending the suspects responsible for five separate armed robberies that occurred last Friday, July 5, 2019.
In the first incident, shortly after 8:00a.m., a female was walking on Unison Road when she was approached by a male armed with a firearm who robbed her of a hand bag containing cash, a cellphone, and other personal effects. The male made good his escape in a silver vehicle.

In the second incident, shortly before 9:00a.m., a female was at a residence on West Avenue, when she was approached by an armed male, who robbed her of a handbag containing cash and other personal effects. The assailant made good his escape on foot in an unknown direction.

In the third incident, shortly before 11:00p.m., a female was at a residence on Avacado Gardens off Faith Avenue, when she was approached by an armed male, who robbed her of a handbag containing cash and other personal effects. The assailant made good his escape on foot.

In the fourth incident, shortly before 12:00a.m., a male was in the area of a business establishment on Evergreen Close off Gladstone Road, when he was accosted by three males, one armed with a firearm who robbed him of cash before making good their escape in a silver colored vehicle.

Police are appealing to members of the public, who may have information that can assist with these investigations, to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2, Crime stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.
