NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police on New Providence are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending the suspects responsible for two separate armed robberies that occurred last week Thursday, June 27, 2019.
In the first incident, shortly after 8:00a.m. last Thursday, a female was at a residence on Spikenard Road, when she was approached by an armed male who robbed her of a cash. The assailant made good his escape on foot in an unknown direction.
In the second incident, shortly before 9:00a.m. last Thursday, a male was walking in the area of a community park on Baillou Hill Road when he was approached by a male armed with a sharp object who robbed him of a bag containing a watch, phone, chain, and other personal effects. The male was also assaulted in the process and taken to hospital where he was treated and discharged.
Police are appealing to members of the public, who may have information that can assist with these investigations, to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2, Crime stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.
