Police investigate two armed robberies

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in the capital are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending the suspects responsible for two separate armed robberies on Monday, May 13, 2019.

In the first incident, shortly after 1:00p.m., a female was in the parking lot of a business establishment on Dowdeswell Street, when she was approached by an armed male who robbed her of cash.

The assailant made good his escape in a royal blue SUV, plate number AK9311.

In the second incident, police reported that shortly after 10:00p.m., a male was at a residence located on Harbour Close, when he was approached by two armed males, who robbed him of a watch, wallet, cash, and his gold Ford F150 truck plate number AE 7878.

Police are appealing to members of the public, who may have information that can assist with these investigations, to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2, Crime stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.

Investigations are ongoing.
