NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Police are investigating what they have classified a “suspicious death” on Crooked Island after a man was found dead in the street early Saturday morning.
Police say that sometime around 3:30 am officers attached to the Crooked Island Division received reports of a man lying in the street in the area of Queens Highway, Landrail Point.
Upon their arrival at the scene officers met the lifeless body of a man lying in the middle of the street, with lacerations to the wrist and forehead.
The victim was examined by the island’s medical practitioners, who found no signs of life. The circumstances that led to the man’s death are unknown at this time and investigations into the matter continue.
