NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in New Providence are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the persons responsible for a shooting incident which has left a woman in hospital.
According to police reports, shortly after 7:00a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019 the woman was standing at the rear of a vehicle in front of her home on Boatswain Hill, when she was approached by two men armed with a firearm who opened fire in her direction.
The woman was wounded and the men fled the scene in a silver Honda vehicle, authorities said. The injured woman was transported to hospital where she is listed in critical but stable condition.
Police are appealing to members of the public who may have information that can assist with this investigations, to contact 911,919, the Central Detective Unit (CDU) at 502-9991/2, Crime stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station
Investigations are said to be ongoing.
