Police in Exuma investigating alleged drowning of 74-year-old caucasian man

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police on the island of Exuma are investigating the reported drowning of an adult Caucasian male.

Authorities were alerted around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18th, 2024, that the 74-year-old man encountered difficulties while diving in the waters off Normans Cay.

Efforts were made to retrieve the victim from the water, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was administered. Unfortunately, these attempts proved unsuccessful, and the individual passed away.

A team of officers from New Providence will be dispatched to Exuma to aid in further investigations.
