Police identifies victims in recent murders

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Police have identified a number of homicide victims, from recent murders.

Police confirmed that the woman who was killed on Monday morning at her Johnson Road residence was 42-year-old Patrice Sawyer. She went outside after receiving a phone call in the early morning and was shot.

Andrew Burrows, 32, of Smith Street, and 27-year-old Lakeithra Stubbs of Rock Crusher, have also been identified as the victims in a crowd shooting at Lightborne Avenue, Rock Crusher last Sunday.

Two men came out of a Japanese vehicle and one was armed with a high-powered weapon and shot at the crowd, killing Burrows and Stubbs and wounding others.

The man who was killed last Saturday has been identified as 45-year-old Fred Lafaithe of Sixth Street. Lafaithe was fatally struck when two men came out of a Japanese vehicle firing shots in his direction.

The German national killed in Andros last Wednesday was identified as 57-year-old Torsten Wilhelm Hendrick.
