Police hunt for jet ski operator after collision at sea leaves two women injured

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police are currently seeking a jet ski operator who fled the scene following an incident at sea that resulted in injuries to two women.

Preliminary reports indicate that the women were on a banana boat in the waters of Goodman’s Bay off West Bay Street around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, when an unidentified male operating a jet ski collided with them. The collision threw both women off the banana boat, causing injuries. The jet ski operator left the scene immediately after the incident.

EMS personnel transported both women, who sustained head injuries, to the hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.

Authorities are actively searching for the jet ski operator. Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact 911, 919, the nearest police station, or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477).
