A collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of National Security successfully yielded more than two dozen new police cadets – the first group of its kind in more than a year.
The police cadets programme’s latest induction ceremony took place Thursday afternoon at the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) College grounds.
Minister of National Security Marvin Dames, in his address to the new aspiring law enforcement officers said, it is his hope that the relaunch is the catalyst for a national service programme for the country.
He also reiterated the fact that the new recruits will be mandated to give military service.
