ELEUTHERA, BAHAMAS — On Friday, July 19, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., police officers in Eleuthera conducted “Operation Sunrise,” targeting prolific offenders and criminal hotspots.
Acting on a tip-off, the officers arrived at Cupids Cay, Governors Harbor, where they searched a white American model vehicle. During the search, they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana and arrested the 38-year-old male occupant.
Officers executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence following the vehicle search, leading to the confiscation of additional quantities of suspected marijuana and a substantial amount of cash believed to be criminal proceeds.
The estimated weight and street value of the confiscated drugs are currently unknown.
