Members of the public will get the rare opportunity to speak with the prime minister one on one with the launch of a new public office hours system, a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister confirmed late Monday evening.
Beginning this Wednesday, Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis will dedicate three hours – from 9:00 a.m. until noon – to hear concerns from members of the public, the statement said.
According to the release, Dr. Minnis will host the public office hours each Wednesday until September 12, as a part of his “commitment of accountability to the Bahamian people”.
Persons wishing to meet with Dr. Minnis are asked to call the Office of the Prime Minister to confirm an appointment at telephone 702-5500.
Meetings will be limited to 10 minutes, the release said, only in an effort to accommodate as many persons as possible.
