play-sharp-fill

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister Philip Davis has returned safely to The Bahamas following a successful surgery performed in the United States, he told local media upon his arrival at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) on Wednesday afternoon that he is “ready to get back to work.”

The Prime Minister traveled to the United States on July 19, 204 to undergo medical treatment for sciatic nerve compression, according to Minister of Health & Wellness Dr. Michael Darville.

The sciatic nerve, originating from five nerve roots in the lower spine, extends through the buttock and down the back of the thigh to the heel and sole of the foot. This nerve plays a crucial role in connecting the spinal cord with the skin and muscles of the thigh, leg, and foot.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to residents who prayed for a successful surgery; he said he looks forward to a speedy recovery.
