Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis, while bringing brief remarks at the topping off ceremony for the island’s newest high-rise condominium hotel, revealed that his government recently assembled a team to ensure that construction at the site, and the workforce ratio at the development, remain within the terms of agreement which was signed between both parties at the beginning of the project.

“A multi-sectoral team of my government’s officials recently conducted a site visit to this project. The team reported that they were pleased with the progress and intend to continue regular consultations to ensure that the project proceeds in compliance with the Heads of Agreement which is mutually beneficial,” he said.

The project which started 18 months ago has 126 units, its very own marina, a yacht club and a number of exciting water amenities.

The high-rise condominium named, “One Particular Harbor,” is expected to open in 2020.

China’s ambassador to The Bahamas His Excellency Huang Qinguo touted that the project, once completed, will provide a bevy of job opportunities for Bahamians.

“I am glad to know that The Pointe project once complete will create about 400 jobs for Bahamians,” he shared.

One Particular Harbor is being touted as the newest hot spot for Downtown Nassau, according to property executives.

John Cohlan, Ceo of Margaritaville Holdings, told Eyewitness News that the newest addition at The Pointe development will offer the epitome of luxe resort lifestyle.

“Our lifestyle brand is about a lifestyle experience and I can’t think of a better island to be doing this other than right here,” he exclaimed.

The development’s main inspiration comes from well-known musical artist Jimmy Buffet whose music is synonymous with a luxe beach lifestyle.

China state construction is heading the rollout of the development.

“The team from China State Construction Company had a vision, they understood what our brand is about and they’ve executed it flawlessly,” bragged Cohlan.

“Together I think we have created the ultimate lifestyle destination.”

The eight-story high rise condominium will also feature a Margaritaville hotel and is expected to attract lots of guests to our shores.

“It’s about meeting good friends. A casual luxury way of living. There is no sacrifice to the luxury, but there is also no limitation to the casual,” shared Cohlan.

Cohlan gave his word that a sense of place will reign supreme throughout the entire property.

“Not only are we planning on integrating the local culture in what we do, it actually defines what our brand is. We actually export that culture to other places. So, the ultimate authentic statement about what our brand is, is engaging with the culture here,” noted Cohlan.
