PM departs Nassau for meeting with US President Trump

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis and his delegation departed Nassau on Thursday on Bahamasair for a multilateral meeting to be held today [Friday] between Caribbean Heads of State and US President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach, Florida.

Leaders of the Dominican Republic, the Republic of Haiti, Jamaica and Saint Lucia will also attend today’s meeting.  The delegation from The Bahamas comprises Minister of Foreign Affairs Darren Henfield; Office of the Prime Minister Director of Communications Erica Cox; Aide to the Prime Minister Inspector Renardo Green; and BIS/Official Photographer, Yontalay Bowe.  Minister of Transport and Local Government, Renward Wells will act as Prime Minister in the Prime Minister’s absence.
