NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The National Training Agency (NTA) on Monday recognized several of its staff members, training providers and assessors for successfully completing certificate courses during a ceremony at its headquarters on Gladstone Road and Munnings Drive.
During the ceremony, 18 staff members, training providers and assessors who successfully completed City & Guilds certification as internal verifiers and assessors were awarded certificates.
The training was conducted by Trinizuela Technical and Vocational College (located in Trinidad & Tobago), a City & Guilds-approved center. Serving as Mistress of Ceremonies was Senator Jennifer Isaacs-Dotson.
NTA Executive Director Gadville McDonald congratulated the awardees and said their training would “add value” to the organization.
“We pause to celebrate 18 of you assessors who have completed the training for this certificate and the four persons who completed training in Leadership and Teams skills, Level II, through the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) approved center,” he said.

“Your certificate will add value to our organization, especially as we continue in our mission to assist in the development of our country’s workforce.”
Delivering the keynote address virtually was Executive Director of Trinizuela Technical & Vocational College Linda Mohammed, who congratulated the awardees and told them that the programme will enable them to utilize the special skills they acquired to further assist students.
“This programme, which you have just completed, will give you the ability to discern and the ability to judge,” she said. “This will come with practice and improve with experience. Your discernment can determine the student’s ability to just pass or get a distinction in a programme. So, you hold the key for assisting your students to achieve success.”
Trinizuela Technical & Vocational College was established in 1964, making it one of the longest standing institutions offering training in the field of technical and vocational programs certified by City and Guilds of London Institute. They also offer City and Guilds workforce assessment qualifications in Foundation and Proficiency levels for experienced personnel.
The NTA offers certificate programmes to young Bahamians throughout the country.
